SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS DEFINITION

Franke Associates will work with you develop specifications and criteria for finding and selecting
software vendors and applications. The System Requirements are crucial in guiding
the project to ensure that all needs are met.

The steps and results are as follows:
1. Formulate High-level System Vision
  -How will the system work and fit into the overall business?
-What are the perceived benefits? What problems will the system solve?

2. Review Functions/Processes
   -What are the key functions that must be satisfied?

3. State & Prioritize System Objectives
    -What is the overall purpose and goals for the system?

4. Determine Software and Hardware Environment
   -How and where is the system hosted? in-house or on-line?
   -How do users access the system?
   -What information must be stored and accessed?

5. Prepare Comprehensive Requirements Document
   -This is a functional specification that details the information needs,
    the applications, the hardware and software environments, user interaction,
    and the workflow.
    .The Requirements specification is used as an RFP and evaluation criteria. It ensures
      that all the key system details are considered and fulfilled in the project.
